Our path of progress
September 2023 – The Journey Begins
With a vision to redefine hospitality, we opened our first humble home—a 21-room property in the heart of Siem Reap. Small in size but boundless in heart, it became the foundation of The Community, where every guest experience was crafted with authenticity and care.
March 2024 – Growing Together
Driven by the belief that meaningful travel should be shared, we expanded, acquiring a second 27-room property. This step allowed us to welcome more travellers into our story while deepening our ties to the local community.
September 2024 – Celebrating Art & Heritage
We launched The Community Gallery, a vibrant space where Cambodian artists and artisans showcase their work. More than an exhibition, it became a bridge between travellers and the rich cultural soul of Siem Reap.
December 2024 – Curating Journeys, Creating Connections
With The Community Travel, we stepped beyond accommodations, offering immersive experiences designed to connect visitors with Cambodia’s landscapes, traditions, and people—transforming tourism into a force for mutual growth.
March 2025 – A Taste of Belonging
The acquisition of The Community Kitchen marked a delicious new chapter. Here, guests savor locally sourced, chef-crafted dishes while supporting sustainable farming and culinary traditions.
And Beyond…
What began as a single property has blossomed into an ecosystem of experiences—each one rooted in community, sustainability, and heartfelt hospitality. This is only the beginning. Together, we’re building a future where travel leaves both people and places brighter than before.

The Alchemist of Moments
In the delicate dance of hospitality, Jessi moves with the quiet precision of a poet—transforming ordinary stays into lyrical journeys through Cambodian culture. Born between rice fields and boundless curiosity, she’s mastered the alchemy of converting fleeting interactions into lasting memories at The Community.
“The secret isn’t reading the guest—it’s reading the space between what they say and what their eyes wish for.” — Jessi 🌾
A former language architect at Speak Like Khmer School, Jessi approaches guest experiences with a linguist’s ear for nuance and a storyteller’s flair. Her hotel tenure sharpened this into a sixth sense—she detects the family needing privacy before they ask, the solo traveler craving connection before they know it themselves. Now, she teaches her team the grammar of genuine care: how a well-timed cold towel speaks louder than scripted greetings, how remembering a returning guest’s preferred pillow becomes a silent love letter.
As a mother, she’s perfected the calculus of care—measuring when to structure and when to surprise. This manifests in:
⦾ Midnight snack deliveries for jet-lagged families.
⦾ Hand-drawn maps to “where locals really eat”.
⦾ The way she makes check-in feel like coming home.
Her superpower? Making the extraordinary feel effortless—whether explaining Angkor’s celestial alignments over breakfast or conjuring a last-minute monk blessing ceremony. Guests don’t just receive service; they feel understood, their unvoiced wishes materializing before their eyes.
Beyond The Community, Jessi remains Siem Reap’s quiet ambassador—volunteering at English classes, collecting oral histories from market vendors, tucking her daughter in with folktales that’ll one day enrich other travelers’ experiences. To know her is to witness Cambodian hospitality distilled to its purest form: intelligent, intuitive, and infinitely kind.
In Jessi’s hands, every guest interaction becomes brushstroke in a larger masterpiece—one where visitors don’t just see Cambodia, but feel its heartbeat synchronize with their own.
The Heartbeat of Thoughtful Hospitality
Like the rice stalks of her homeland that bend but never break, Nita moves through each day with quiet strength—turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories at The Community. Her journey from Siem Reap’s rural villages to the forefront of Cambodia’s hospitality scene has crafted a leader who understands that true service lives in the details others overlook.
“Hospitality isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about the hundred small things done perfectly when no one is watching.” — Nita 🌱
With a career spanning Cambodia’s diverse hotel landscape, Nita has mastered the alchemy of blending professional polish with authentic Khmer warmth. She reads guests like the changing seasons—anticipating the weary traveler’s need for solitude before they voice it, sensing the adventurous couple’s readiness to explore beyond the guidebooks. Her solutions emerge as quietly as dawn: a rearranged tour schedule to accommodate tired children, a discreet room change for light sleepers, the perfect local remedy appearing just as jet lag sets in.
What sets Nita apart:
⦾ The farmer’s patience – cultivated in childhood, now applied to training her team with gentle consistency.
⦾ The diplomat’s tact – resolving conflicts with solutions that leave all parties feeling heard.
⦾ The artist’s eye – curating experiences that reveal Cambodia’s soul through its scents, flavors and textures.
Her leadership style mirrors the balanced harmony of traditional village life—she’s the first to arrive during peak check-ins, the last to leave when special requests come late. Team members cherish how she transforms stressful moments into teaching opportunities, just as she treasures slow mornings sharing breakfast and wisdom with her aging mother.
To experience Nita‘s hospitality is to encounter Siem Reap’s truest essence—where every arranged transport carries local insights, every recommended meal tells a cultural story, and every farewell feels like leaving family. In her care, guests don’t just visit Cambodia—they connect with its heartbeat.
The Architect of Excellence
In the symphony of operations at The Community, Ting conducts with precision—transforming vision into flawless execution. A leader shaped by diverse worlds, he bridges the wisdom of Cambodian education with the dynamism of sustainable hospitality, creating experiences that resonate long after guests depart.
“True leadership isn’t about being in charge—it’s about taking care of those in your charge.” — Ting ✨
Ting‘s journey from molding young minds in Battambang‘s classrooms to orchestrating hospitality operations reveals a unifying thread: his genius for empowering people. As a teacher and acting principal, he mastered the art of translating potential into performance—a skill he now applies daily, ensuring every team member thrives under The Community‘s mission of cultural immersion and sustainability.
Currently advancing his expertise at ACE Siem Reap, Ting embodies our commitment to lifelong learning. His studies fuel an operations philosophy where nothing is static—every system, every protocol, every guest interaction is an opportunity for refinement. Under his leadership, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword but a living practice, woven into supply chains, staff development, and the very rhythm of daily operations.
What sets Ting apart is his multidimensional approach:
⦾ The educator’s patience to develop talent.
⦾ The strategist’s eye for operational harmony.
⦾ The perfectionist’s obsession with detail.
From optimizing housekeeping flows to mentoring future leaders, he treats The Community as both a well-oiled machine and a constantly evolving organism. His greatest achievement? Creating an environment where operational excellence and human connection aren’t competing priorities, but two sides of the same coin.
In Ting‘s hands, sustainable hospitality becomes more than a concept—it’s a daily practice, a teaching moment, and most importantly, a promise kept to every guest who walks through our doors.
The Night Guardian
When daylight fades over Siem Reap, Sal takes his post—not as a watchman, but as a weaver of seamless nights. Born from the quiet resilience of Cambodia’s countryside, he’s become the silent architect of our guests’ most peaceful hours, turning the vulnerability of nighttime into a cocoon of comfort.
“Night isn’t about absence—it’s about presence. The right kind of presence.” — Sal ✨
Sal‘s journey through Siem Reap’s hotel corridors has honed a rare nocturnal wisdom. Where others see empty lobbies, he sees potential disruptions before they form. His hands—calloused from years of adjusting room temperatures, smoothing crumpled sheets at midnight, and silently solving problems—move with the precision of someone who understands darkness demands different skills than daylight.
More than just a supervisor, Sal is:
⦾ A translator of unspoken guest needs.
⦾ A keeper of institutional memory (he remembers which room prefers extra towels at 10pm).
⦾ The calm in every nighttime storm.
His rural upbringing surfaces in telling ways—the way he reads weather changes to prepare the property, how he treats team with the same respect as guests, his belief that true service happens when no one’s watching. The Community‘s sustainability mission thrives at night under his watch, where energy conservation meets uncompromising comfort.
While the world sleeps, Sal’s vigilance transforms our space into something magical—a place where night doesn’t mean discontinuity, but rather a different kind of care. His greatest skill? Making his constant attention feel invisible, so guests only ever feel… safe.
This is nightkeeping elevated to an art form—where trust is the currency, shadows hold no threats, and dawn always finds everything exactly as it should be.
With the quiet strength of Cambodia’s countryside and the precision of a well-kept ritual, Koeun leads our Room Curator Team with a rare blend of discipline and devotion. A mother of two, she carries the wisdom of her rural upbringing—where dawn breaks on hard work and integrity is woven into every action—into her role as the guardian of our housekeeping standards.
Koeun’s mornings begin before the sun, a rhythm instilled in her since childhood. Her team knows her expectations are high: immaculate spaces, thoughtful Cambodian details, and that intangible warmth she calls “heart-ready”—a room prepared not just to be seen, but to be felt. Under her watch, no corner goes unchecked, no pillow is left unfluffed. Yet her strictness is never without fairness; she leads by example, working harder, longer, and with more care than anyone else.
Beyond her exacting standards lies a mentor’s spirit. Many young women from rural provinces have flourished under her guidance, learning not only the art of hospitality but life lessons in resilience and pride. And if you catch a glimpse of her softening as her children visit after school—tucking a stray hair behind her daughter’s ear, her stern gaze melting into warmth—you’ll understand the heart behind her rigor.
To step into a room curated by Koeun’s team is to experience Cambodian hospitality at its finest: where unwavering standards and genuine care intertwine, creating spaces that don’t just shine—they welcome.
“Good enough is never good enough. When guests choose us, they deserve our best.” — Koeun ✨
At The Community Kitchen, every dish tells a story—and Chhong, our Culinary Curator, writes them with heart.
🌿 From Tuk-Tuk to Table: A Journey of Passion
Born in rural Siem Reap and now a devoted father of three, Chhong’s life mirrors Cambodia’s resilience. Once a tuk-tuk driver navigating bustling streets, he later mastered his craft as a cook, hotel supervisor, and even ran his own village restaurant—where travelers and locals alike fell in love with his authentic Khmer recipes.
🔥 Tradition Meets Purpose
Now leading our culinary team, Chhong:
⦾ Preserves heritage through time-honored techniques.
⦾ Elevates local ingredients (think: fragrant Kampot pepper, fresh Tonlé Sap fish).
⦾ Empowers farmers and families—every meal supports his community.

guest experience curator
The Storyteller of Siem Reap
With the soul of a poet and the warmth of a lifelong host, Nary weaves words and experiences into unforgettable moments at The Community. Born among the whispering rice fields of rural Siem Reap, she carries the rhythm of Cambodian storytelling into every guest interaction, blending her English Literature studies with an intuitive gift for connection.
“Every guest carries a story worth listening to—our role is to help them discover the next chapter.” — Nary🌳
As a fourth-year scholar at Paññāsāstra University, Nary approaches hospitality with a literary eye—seeing each visitor’s journey as a narrative waiting to unfold. Her two years as a Guest Experience Curator taught her the alchemy of transforming ordinary stays into immersive tales: a surprise breakfast picnic for honeymooners becomes a scene from a romance novel, a twilight temple recommendation turns into a protagonist’s pivotal moment.
What makes Nary extraordinary:
⦾ The scholar’s insight – she’ll recommend books that make Angkor’s stones speak to you.
⦾ The local’s intuition – knowing when to suggest a hidden village pottery class over crowded markets.
⦾ The wordsmith’s grace – her handwritten welcome notes read like personalized love letters to Cambodia.
By day, she analyzes Shakespearean sonnets; by evening, she crafts sonnets in action—curating experiences where guests don’t just see Siem Reap, but feel its pulse through artisan encounters and fireside folklore sessions. Regular visitors often return asking for “Nary’s Special”—her ever-evolving, deeply personal itinerary recommendations that reveal Cambodia through literature, landscapes, and local friendships.
When not guiding guests or studying, she documents oral histories from market vendors and weavers—preserving the living literature of everyday Cambodians. In Nary’s hands, hospitality becomes a shared story where every guest becomes both character and co-author of their Cambodian adventure.
The Architect of Heartfelt Hospitality
With the precision of a finance scholar and the warmth of her Cambodian roots, Lida crafts guest experiences that balance thoughtful detail with genuine connection. The Kandal province native brings her rural upbringing’s authenticity and her Vannda University finance training’s analytical edge to every interaction at The Community.
“True hospitality happens when careful planning meets spontaneous kindness—the balance where magic lives.” — Lida ✨
Lida‘s year and a half at Mane Village Suites transformed her into a maestro of personalized service, where she learned that:
⦾ The right question at check-in can reveal a guest’s unspoken wishes.
⦾ A well-placed local treat mends travel weariness better than any apology.
⦾ Financial acumen applies beautifully to creating priceless memories.
Her superpower lies in blending opposites:
⦾ Rural wisdom meets urban professionalism.
⦾ Financial discipline dances with generous hospitality.
⦾ University theories illuminate real-world service.
By day she analyzes spreadsheets; by afternoon she’s arranging surprise reunions between guests and their favorite tuk-tuk drivers. Lida sees what others miss—the family that would thrive on a countryside cycling tour rather than temple crowds, the solo traveler who secretly longs to learn Cambodian cooking from a local grandmother.
When not optimizing guest experiences or studying financial models, Lida volunteers teaching financial literacy in rural communities—bridging her two worlds with quiet brilliance. In her care, every stay becomes both seamless and soulful, where practical comforts meet unexpected delights.
This is hospitality by design—where every interaction carries intention, every solution shows creativity, and every farewell feels like the start of a lasting connection.
The Heart of Cambodian Hospitality
With the gentle strength of Battambang’s countryside and the bright curiosity of a lifelong learner, Chan weaves warmth into every guest’s journey at The Community. This rising star of hospitality carries the soul of rural Cambodia in her smile and the promise of Siem Reap’s future in her determined spirit.
“The best souvenirs aren’t things—they’re the connections we help create between people and places.” — Chan✨
By day, Chan is an earnest student at ACE Siem Reap, absorbing language skills and cultural insights. By afternoon, she transforms into a maestro of meaningful moments, using her innate emotional intelligence to:
⦾ Pair travelers with local experiences that spark genuine wonder.
⦾ Translate cultural nuances into heartfelt understanding.
⦾ Turn simple interactions into lasting memories.
What makes Chan extraordinary:
⦾ The Village Girl’s Intuition – She remembers that the family from Paris loved morning glory salad and makes sure it appears again.
⦾ The Student’s Curiosity – Always learning new ways to bridge cultures through food, stories and shared laughter.
⦾ The Host’s Grace – Her handwritten welcome notes in Khmer and English make guests feel instantly at home.
From arranging impromptu rice field picnics to introducing guests to her favorite Battambang folk songs, Chan doesn’t just provide service—she creates belonging. When she’s not guiding travelers or hitting the books, you’ll find her teaching English to neighborhood children or collecting oral histories from market vendors.
In Chan‘s care, guests don’t just visit Cambodia—they experience its heartbeat through the eyes of someone who loves it deeply and shares it generously. This is hospitality that doesn’t just meet expectations, but creates new definitions of connection.
operations Curator
The Harmonizer of Hearts and Operations
Like the Mekong’s enduring current through her native Kampong Cham, Dana flows through The Community with equal parts strength and tenderness—a working mother who orchestrates seamless stays while nurturing both guests and her young daughter with the same devoted care.
“In hospitality as in motherhood, the best work often goes unseen—but is felt in every comfort.” — Dana ✨
This veteran of Siem Reap’s service industry brings:
⦾ A Mother’s Intuition – anticipating needs before they’re voiced, whether for an extra crib or a late checkout.
⦾ A General’s Precision – forged through years as restaurant hostess, reservation agent, and operations curator.
⦾ A Teacher’s Patience – gently guiding new staff while keeping standards impeccable.
By dawn she’s reviewing room assignments with military efficiency; by dusk she’s arranging surprise cookies for homesick young travelers. The same hands that reconcile night audits with perfect accuracy later braid her daughter’s hair with equal devotion.
Dana’s secret lies in balancing opposites:
⦾ Professional rigor with maternal warmth.
⦾ Institutional knowledge with fresh creativity.
⦾ Backstage perfectionism with front-of-house grace.
When not troubleshooting logistics or mentoring staff, she’s likely sharing Kampong Cham‘s folk recipes with our chefs or teaching her team the subtle art of reading guest moods. To experience Dana‘s hospitality is to feel simultaneously impeccably cared for and completely at home—the same embrace she gives her child after long days creating magic for others.
This is operations leadership redefined—where spreadsheets and bedtime stories share equal priority, and where the quiet strength of Cambodian motherhood elevates every guest’s experience.
The Silent Conductor of Extraordinary Stays
Like the ancient irrigation systems of her Siem Reap homeland, Favourite works unseen yet essential—channeling her rural resilience and academic discipline into creating flawless guest experiences at The Community. By day, an ambitious student at ACE Siem Reap; by profession, the meticulous architect behind our operations’ invisible harmony.
“Precision is kindness made visible—especially when no one notices it.” — Favourite ✨
This quiet powerhouse brings:
⦾ A Scholar’s Discipline – applying classroom lessons to streamline guest journeys.
⦾ A Farmer’s Patience – cultivated through childhood chores, now perfecting room turnarounds.
⦾ A Matriarch’s Care – treating every local artisan and international guest as extended family.
Her magic lives in the details others overlook:
⦾ The exact minute to dispatch tuk-tuks for sunset temple views.
⦾ The way to rearrange spa bookings without ruffling feathers.
⦾ The art of translating chef’s specials into dietary-safe delights.
While studying English phrases by night, she’s mastering the universal language of thoughtful service by day—whether ensuring village guides receive fair wages or remembering that Room 14 prefers their lemongrass tea with extra honey.
Favourite doesn’t just coordinate operations; she weaves an invisible safety net that lets both guests and colleagues shine. Her greatest pride? When visitors depart feeling they discovered “the real Cambodia”—unaware of the thousand thoughtful calculations that made it seem effortless.
This is the new face of Cambodian hospitality leadership: where rural wisdom meets global standards, where spreadsheets and soul coexist, and where every silent perfection makes someone’s experience sing.
rooms curator
A mother’s touch makes every house a home – and at The Community, Soriya brings that same nurturing care to every room she curates. Mother to three lively children, this countryside-born Siem Reap native understands deeply what makes spaces feel warm, welcoming, and full of love.
Her journey from rural villages to Siem Reap’s hospitality scene has been one of quiet determination. The same hands that once helped harvest rice in her village now meticulously arrange local handicrafts and fresh tropical flowers in guest rooms. The patience she’s learned raising three little ones shines through in her attentive eye for detail – whether it’s perfectly plumped pillows or remembering returning guests’ preferences.
“Working here feels like extending my family,” Soriya often says with her characteristic gentle smile. She takes special pride in training younger team members, mothering them just as she does her own children at home. Under her guidance, even the newest team members learn that true hospitality comes from the heart.
When she’s not creating beautiful spaces at the hotel, you’ll find Soriya tending her small garden, where she grows the fragrant jasmine and marigolds that sometimes grace guest rooms. Her children often help arrange the blossoms – their tiny hands learning, just as their mother did, how small acts of care can make the world more beautiful.
At The Community, Soriya’s legacy isn’t just in spotless rooms, but in the countless guests who leave feeling they’ve been cared for like family. Because for this mother of three, hospitality will always be an act of love.
“A good room, like a happy home, needs both cleanliness and heart.” — Soriya 💛
the community kitchen
The Soul of Our Kitchen
From the fertile fields of Siem Reap’s countryside to the heart of our kitchen, Thul embodies the essence of Cambodian hospitality—warm, steadfast, and full of flavor. A founding pillar of The Community, he has grown with us from the very first day, his journey mirroring our own: rooted in tradition, yet always reaching for new heights.
“Good food should do two things: remind you of home, and make you feel at home.” — Thul 🏡
Thul’s hands tell a story—of hard work, honesty, and an unshakable dedication to craft. Whether he’s perfecting a time-honored family recipe or experimenting with a fresh twist on Khmer cuisine, his cooking is a labor of love. Guests taste it in every bite: the depth of heritage, the spark of creativity, and the unmistakable care that turns a meal into a memory.
But beyond his skills at the stove, Thul is the kind of man who makes a team stronger just by being part of it. Dependable, eager to learn, and generous with his knowledge, he uplifts those around him—just as The Community strives to uplift local families and share authentic Cambodian spirit with the world.
To dine with us is to taste Thul’s legacy: a blend of tradition and innovation, served with integrity and heart. Because for him, cooking isn’t just about food—it’s about connection, and every dish is an invitation to gather, savor, and belong.
The Quiet Flame of Our Kitchen
In the heart of our kitchen, where the aroma of lemongrass and turmeric dances in the air, Pheat works with the steady rhythm of someone who knows that cooking is more than a skill—it’s a language of care. Born among the rice fields of Siem Reap’s countryside, she carries the patience of farmers and the precision of artisans in every dish she creates.
“The best recipes don’t come from cookbooks—they come from memories.” — Pheat❤️
A founding member of The Community, Pheat has been shaping our culinary story since the first fire was lit in our kitchen. Her journey—from a local hotel where she honed her craft for eighteen months, to becoming the beating heart of our team—reflects the quiet determination that defines Cambodian resilience. Where others might rush, Pheat listens to the sizzle of the wok, judges the perfect moment to flip a fish, and knows exactly when a curry has reached its peak of flavor.
More than just a cook, Pheat is a guardian of traditions. She teaches younger team members that sustainability isn’t just a concept—it’s in the way we select local ingredients, respect each vegetable we peel, and honor the farmers who grew them. When guests taste her amok or savor her fragrant soups, they’re tasting more than food—they’re experiencing generations of Khmer wisdom passed through her hands.
Yet for all her skill, Pheat‘s greatest gift is her presence—calm in the chaos of service, steadfast in her standards, and always, always leading by example. She doesn’t just feed bodies; she nourishes our shared purpose. In Pheat‘s kitchen, every meal is an act of love, every plate a story of Cambodia’s enduring spirit.
The Artisan of Flavor
In the rhythmic dance of our kitchen, where fire meets spice and tradition blends with innovation, Porng moves with the quiet confidence of a true craftsman. A son of Siem Reap’s vibrant culinary scene, he brings two years of Pub Street’s electric energy into our kitchen—transforming bustling market flavors into refined expressions of Khmer heritage.
“A great dish speaks before you take the first bite—it should tell its own story.” — Porng 🏡
Beneath Porng’s reserved demeanor burns a quiet intensity for his craft. Where others shout, he observes—studying the caramelization of palm sugar, the perfect doneness of river fish, the way basil releases its aroma at just the right second. His time in Siem Reap’s most demanding kitchens forged him into a technician of taste, yet his cooking remains soulful, never mechanical.
At The Community, Porng has found more than a workplace—he’s found a canvas. His dishes balance the boldness of street food with the nuance of fine dining, each plate a tribute to Cambodia’s culinary duality. Whether recreating his grandmother’s recipes or experimenting with modern techniques, his food always carries that unmistakable Siem Reap heartbeat.
But what truly sets Porng apart isn’t just his skill—it’s his spirit. Polite to his core yet endlessly curious, he embodies our values in every action: supporting local producers, mentoring teammates, and treating each ingredient with reverence. For him, cooking isn’t merely service—it’s an act of cultural preservation, a way to bridge the past and future through every shared meal.
To taste Porng’s creations is to understand modern Cambodian hospitality—where respect for tradition and hunger for progress coexist in delicious harmony.
