Inside, you’ll find vibrant Buddhist murals, a sacred Bodhi tree, and the daily life of monks. It’s a quiet spot to reflect, learn about Cambodian spirituality, and escape the tourist crowds, OLD MARKET – A covered maze of stalls and vendors, the Old Market is a key landmark in the centre of Siem Reap. You’ll find some of the same souvenirs that are for sale within the Angkor Temples area, without the premium prices, and PHNOM KROM – The best place to catch a Siem Reap sunset! You’ll see local villages and some untouched parts of the Cambodian countryside. The whole area turns green in the rainy season and it’s a wonderful time of year to visit. When you reach the foot of the hill, there are some lovely small villages around. You can get the feeling that you’re off the beaten track here.
